Help WiFi error, bluetooth won't connect, volume button not responding....

O.K. so, I have a problem because when I attempt to turn on my WiFi it won't turn on, says Error. Bluetooth won't turn on either. And my Volume button is unresponsive. Also the battery seems to have emptied in less than half a day. I did a full factory reset and still no improvement.
This started to happen yesterday, and since I read somewhere that it may be an app update I looked through apps that were updated that morning (I know that the WiFi was o.k. because I download updates only on WiFi at home) and it was things like Facebook, Angry Birds and similar... could this be the cause or is it just a coincidence? I did not drop the phone or any such thing (I dopped it once, about 2 months ago), it is now 5 months old, on 2.2.1 software...

Any ideas on what could be done or do I just call in the warranty?

Thanks.

aww. definitely a phone issue. its been over a week, i hope you got it back with no problems.

I experienced the exact same problems at the end of March. I bought the phone in November 2010. Is this a times glitch in the phone? It appears far too coincidental.

Has anybody come up with a solution to this?

I've had the phone since launch (October 2010?) so I'm not sure what the warranty would be on my phone, plus it's got a crack on the screen so I assume they'll blame me...

This happened to me after updating Facebook last week... media and normal volume went nuts, bluetooth wouldn't connect etc. I uninstalled FB update and it was fine then

has anybody had an update to this, mine started doing this friday, i emailed htc who said they'd need it back to look at and work out a repair price??? its less than 12 months old

Have you dropped it or damaged it in any way yourself? That's the only reason I think that they'd charge you for it being less than 12 months old.

Might be worth emailing again to ask why they're going to charge you.

sorted thanks, i rang again and spoke to someone else, its packaged up and ready to go. i also got him to admit that this is a known error, and starts with the volume up key playing up. it's not a fault with the desire hd alone though, as you've probably already seen, its something in the hardware, somewhere!!

also i didnt know that htc have 24 month warranty!

phone returned back yesterday, working well. no report though other than "warranty repaired" same phone, but my battery is over 50% and been off charge for 10 and half hours, so battery lasting longer!!
