WiFi File Explorer PRO-FREE TODAY

If you're tried of having to plug your device into your PC to transfer a file(s) then you'll want to go grab this app which is free from the Amazon App Store for the day.

Basically, you open the app and it gives you a website you can go to on your PC's browser which gives you access to the files on your SD card.

Make sure when you're done using the app you use the back button to exit and not the home button. If you use the home button the app stays running in the background and your files will remain viable

Cheers

Yea it works very well. I just uploaded 4 albums in about 45 seconds. I'm constantly adding and removing things from my SD so I'm pumped this app works so well. Can easily see it becoming my most used app

I have no trouble walking to my computer so when I saw this app I tried to figure out how I would use it and I couldn't see how it would benefit me. I've caught myself a few times with the Amazon free app of the day looking at the app, reading the description and asking myself, "Do you really want to become an app hoarder?"

I started this thread for people, like myself, who would find it useful. I usually have to plug my phone in to transfer data 10 times a day at a minimum. Not having to have a USB cable around all the time is handy. And you're right just because it's free doesn't mean you need to download it. Could I have continued to transfer data without this app? Absolutely, but if it's a good app and it's free why not use it?

Yeah, if you utilize it it's definitely worth it, I thought about my typical use and didn't imagine how I'd use it. The previous day's free app was I believe the NY Post and it was funny seeing how many people were downloading it but then ripping it in the ratings.

The reviews are my favorite part of the amazon app store :D.

I might be missing something, but how does this differ from DropBox, SugarSync, etc in functionality? Whatever I want to access something from my phone on any computer I put it into DropBox, and it just appears in my home computer, or I can go to the DropBox website on any computer that has internet access.

WiFi File Explorer allows you to browse, download and stream files that are on your phone, using a web browser via a WiFi connection. No more taking your phone apart to get the SD card out to access your camera pics ;)

WiFi File Explorer PRO also allows you to upload, delete and copy your files!
dooblou: WiFi File Explorer

I used it this morning to delete the spam folders that Words w/ Friends dropped on my card.
