Root Wifi for root users tutorial

Ok, so you rooted your phone, installed a killer ROM, and want to WiFi. Heres how to make the app work.

THIS WORKS FOR THE PREVAIL AND PRECIDENT

Download the WiFi For Root Users from Play (meuller, lemons, buxton)

Open it

Tap menu, settings, "change device profile"

Select Galaxy Indulge (there is no option for the prevail or precident)

Tap back

Tap "change setup method"

Choose "samsung soft tap"

Tap back.

Reboot to be sure it takes.

Open app

Tap the icon to start tether.

Sometimes it gives me trouble starting. Im not sure what causes the issue, but usually a restart kicks it into gear. You will know its running when you see "hotspot activated" icon and the wifi icon pop up.

Hope this helps those who are confused when they open it and nothing works.

Because foxfi limits your connectivity unless you use the paid version.
it's ad-hoc tethering at best, and when i tried it while it was still unlimited, it didn't even work.

Have you used it on the prevail?
How do you set it up for infrastructure tethering on our phone?
