wifi harddrive

We already had a WD one and it works well. The Android app for it is pretty good and the photo app works quickly by building a cache. You give up some space for speed.

I've tried the Kensington Wi-Drive and really didn't like it. If I were you, I would get a USB OTG cable and a 32-64GB USB thumb drive and call it a day.

That assumes they are going to root.

Indeed it does. But no reason not to ;) Seriously though, that's really the best solution to accomplish what you want to do. Why pay tons of money for a wifi hard drive when you can spend $5 on a cable and $20-30 on a USB thumb drive.

I would definitely recommend Rooting and using Stickmount to use external storage via USB OTG myself.

That said I do use a 500GB SeaGate GoFlex Satellite wifi drive and it is a nice piece of kit.
