On my evo I did bot add the hotspot but yet I can turn it on and other devices have found it

It was the native one that came on the phone. Vm didn't block it with an error message

It will act like that, but can you actually do anything.

Yes. I just had my computer connected and surfing the web. How sweet . Not sure how long it will last but I won't over do it. It may have stemmed from the activation issues and it was put in system wrong. I don't know but I will see what happens in July

I would check and make sure it didn't somehow get activated.
