Help Wifi Hotspot WONT work!!!

Just got my new Triumph! WOOHOO gorilla glass, 1ghz, 512 ram! Rooted it installed all my apps! Then I tried the WIFI hotpot and all I get is and error message! Is there any way to get wifi teather to work? If not PDA net usb teather? Thanks!

Then your lucky - I have read multiple posts where Barnacle will not work for MT owners. How did you get it to work?

downloaded it, created my own ssid, and set it up as WEP and tested it with my laptop. Works!

Hmmmm - you should inform the devs over on xda as they cant get it to work. They can browse "google owned" sites but there is no connection to non-google sites.

your the first person anyplace to state it works with MT ...

Been doing some testing with this (see thread in "All things rooted..." )

The triumph's MTU range is smaller than some phones.
The MAX MTU that it can be set to is 1472.

IF it is maxed, and the clients connecting are set smaller - people are reporting success.

I intend to validate that soon.

You should note then that you're phone is rooted.

I'm not sure hot to lower the MTU. No my signal is excellent. Im not sure I dont have the Optimus V nor the files. If you guys have answers just put them in this forum to benefit more people.
