WiFi hotspot

Anyone have any info on using nexus as a hotspot?
I used my OG droid as a backup to my aircard for times when i need to get online for work but i can't seem to get good reception or other connection problems. I pay for the data service on the phone and aircard (both unlimited) so i'm not trying to get something for free, just need a backup since i work on the road.

I use the service provided by VZ yes its an extra $30 but it works 100% of the time as long as I have a data connection.

Go into Settings, then click on "More..." under the "Wireless and Networks heading. Then choose "Tethering & portable hotspot".

Hotspot works for me even zero bars on 3g. I have not tried the usb tethering yet. Battery life was dismal because of the low signal strength.
