This isn't a major problem, just a puzzlement and wondered if any else has noticed the same thing.
I'm currently sitting right next to my router. I know the WiFi works fast on my HTC, because I upgraded a bunch of apps including biggies like Google Maps just now, and it downloaded 6Mb very quickly. If I go into settings, and look at the WiFi networks, it shows my home network with a very healthy full set of bars on the indicator on that screen.
But the indicator at the top of my screen just shows a white dot, as though it's a really weak signal. Outside my house, the indicator seems pretty reliable - a single white dot really does mean I don't have a good connection at a particular WiFi hotspot (or it's very intermittent), and the indicator worked fine up to a few days ago.
As I say, it doesn't stop the WiFi working, and the Settings screen shows a good signal - it just seems weird that the main indicator on the screen is wrong now. Sometimes, but not always, turning off WiFi and turning it back on again fixes the indicator.
