Help wifi issue help?

hi all,

Bought my son a Samsung galaxy s4 value edition for xmas new and the Wi-Fi signal is not good compared to mine and my partners s4? any ideas on what could be the problem please or advice? Its running the latest os like ours also but I'm not happy with the range of this phone not picking up the Wi-Fi in our home strong like ours?

The S4 Value Edition, GT-i9515, is similar to the standard S4, GT-i9505. However, Wi-Fi signal bars are totally arbitrary, like phone signal bars, as there is no set standard for them. I suggest you all downloading Wifi Analyser, free from the Play Store and check your signal strength with that. If your son's VE phone is still showing a considerably weaker signal, in terms of dBm, I would return the handset under warranty, for repair or replacement.

Thanks for the reply and have tested it via app and it's alot lower than ours. Might ring them up Monday to see what they say
