Help Wifi Issue

Lurker
For some reason after leaving my home and using 3G, I can not use the wifi when returning home. Forced to turn WIFI on, and just get an "Wifi Error".

If I turn off the phone and turn it back in everything is fine.

Not sure if this because of installed software or the unit.

This is a stretch, but it may help you.

A similar problem was reported after the upgrade from Honeycomb 3.0 to 3.1 on the Acer Iconia 500 tablet. A work-around until a software fix is published is to turn off WiFi when you leave home (or anywhere you were using WiFi) and turn it back on when you want to use it again.

Worth a try.

Edit: Another suggestion is to reboot your router.

I don't know where the setting to not turn off WiFi is located, but you can always try: enable / disable Airplane mode.

I'm guessing in Juice Defender or in a similar app.

OP: FWIW, I've found that leaving WiFi on in range of my home network hardly affects battery life at all, so it's not worth turning off and your solution won't be a problem.
