Root Wifi Issue...

I am having a problem getting my Rooted Triumph (w/cm7 mod) to connect to my home wifi, it was connecting fine until about sometime yesterday, ..when I am out, no problem connecting. I was just out this morning and got a good connection. On my phone it will say turning on, obtaining ip address, pause then it says disconnected. I try again and I get the connect button option, after pressing that it will still not connect. It will show a grey icon but I get no connection. My wifes Tablet (asus) and phone.(optimus slider, non root) connect with no problem.

If your wifi has a password try reentering it, whenever i misspell my wifi password thats usually what happens to me

Unplug your router and let it sit for 30 seconds -1 minute then plug it back in. This happens to me about once a year and resetting it fixes it. At least in my case. :)

Firstly, yes, try unplugging your router, then your modem. Wait a couple minutes, plug the modem back in, wait a minute, plug router in.

If still no go, then try --> Forgetting the network and re-entering your password.

Still no dice? Run an ethernet cord from your router to your pc and try to update the firmware for the router. This can be done by entering your IP address into the address bar of your web browser. You can get your IP address (if in Windows) by going to Start > type "cmd.exe" in the Search box > open cmd.exe > type "ipconfig" and press enter. Look for a set of numbers next to IPv4, the set will be something line 192.168.1.1. Copy and paste to browser's address bar. Update firmware, then repeat the two steps above.

Wifi connecting well, thanks for your help, just did the unplug modem and router and plug back in. Called Belkin earlier today, told tham the problem they said it was my system not the router, the ass there told me I ha to pay some tech to diagnose my system!!!

Glad you got things working. If you had any other problems, there should be a pinhole in the back of your router to factory rest it. You can push-hold-release it, then do the deal w/ the ethernet cord. You will, of course, then have to re-enter the password for your router or choose a new one. No need to call a tech out for service call. forums can actually be useful sometimes :)
