Help WiFi issue

Hi, been having this WiFi issue since I've purchased the phone (10 days ago). I love it but this is a little bothersome.

My home network is found but when I enter the password, it cycles between Connecting and Saved, then Connecting, then Saved etc etc...

I've tried 2 Bell WiFis, one Tim Hortons WiFi (with no success) and it somehow connected on one Videotron WiFi. I've tried forgetting the network, resetting my router/modem, resetting, toggling airplane mode and/or data. I've done a full system reset. It didn't work on any versions up to 5.0.1. It's somewhat of a half issue because I do have quite a bit of data on my plan but if anyone can help that'd be great. And yes I've also tried renaming the device.

It just constantly alternates between Connecting, and Saved, and eventually the network is out of range.

My old HTC One S worked fine and my GFs iPhone also works flawlessly with our home wifi.

Worked on my friends' Videotron Wifi... Then failed on 2 other open wifis. So confused.

Let's begin by seeing if you're on a crowded channel.

Next settings, Wifi, Menu, advanced - are you set to 2.4 or 5 GHz?

I'm set on Automatic. From what I see my router is set at 2.4.

Can you get on your home router and set it to just use channel 12 or 13?

Where you are is pretty crowded.

I tried on 6, as per the app suggestion and it did the same thing.

Just tried on 11 and didn't work either. I don't know if this is normal either but when it tries to connect, the WiFi signal next to the network is at full strength and as soon as it says Connecting... it drops it to 1 wavelength on the icon. Don't know if that's relevant information or not.

I think that your wifi radio is defective.

Somethings definitely screwed up! Weird how it connects to some but not all. Thanks for your help.

Hello i just started having this wifi problem with my htc
it happened after the sprint lollipop update. Ive tried reseting the phone/ the router/ deleting and rentering the wifi .
I have the sprint optimizer off.
but the wifi for 2 sec disconnects and then reconnects.

Never happened before the update
