Help WIFI Issues

I'm having problems with the Optimus One's wifi capabilities.

Here's the situation:

• Just did a factory reset, so it's not anything I've done
• Wi-Fi: checked
• Network notification: checked
• Wi-Fi sleep policy: Never
• Bluetooth: on, but not connected
• 3G Data: blocked by the carrier (my choice, since I'm cheap)
• Router is a D-Link DIR-655
• Router has about 10 other wireless devices that work properly

Here's what happens when I try to connect:

• Security is WEP and signal strength is excellent.
• Password is hex digits.
• Hit connect.
• "Obtaining IP address..."
• Wait a few seconds (I'm patient)
• Then the network says "Remembered, secured with WEP"
• Then the Wi-Fi starts "Scanning..."
• Now the network says "Disabled, secured with WEP"
• Click on it again, select "Connect"
• Go back to "Obtaining IP address..."
• Repeat ad nauseum

Why won't it work?

Check if mac adress filtering is disabled on router
