Help Wifi keeps turning itself off!!

If I leave my phone alone for like ten minutes and I grab it and hit the unlock button the wifi icon is gone and the data icon is on and appears to be using data, then in a few seconds the wifi comes back on and data icon goes away, No battery saving apps installed. Anyone else having this issue? Is there a setting somewhere?:confused::confused:

There are settings.. But what ur describing sounds like it might be ur wifi source... If its a week signal... Like mine at work.. Upstairs and on the other side of the building... So when my phone doesnt read a good enough wifi it will switch to data mode... When the wifi is noticed again it will go back to wifi... That sound about right??

Sounds like that could be it but its well in range and I have a good router, i will try changing the wireless channel, its set to auto channel by default.

I was believing that it could be weak signal but right now i am on desk with router on the damn desk and my phone is right here and was off again and data lights sucking me dry wtf?? This is pissing me off, full bars of signal 3 feet from router, im getting brain cancer from the wifi right now and my gay phone doesnt even care lol

Has it been wet before?? My captivate didnt even recognize wifi after it got wet...
 
I had four captivates before retiring that crappy phone. Of those 4, 2 of them would always disconnect from wifi. I knew it wasn't my signal because my wife's i4, our netbook and laptop and 360 had no problems connecting to our network.
 
Ok I found the problem! In wifi advanced settings there is a wifi sleep setting and I forgot I had seen it before and it was set to never sleep, but now it was set to turn off wifi when sleeping. Was set to turn wifi off when screen goes off.
