My S2 has recently started suffering from excessive battery use, and I've discovered that the WiFi keeps turning itself on, even though I keep turning it back off again. Is there a way to determine what is turning it on, as I only want it on when I choose it to be on?
Things to note: the phone is running NeatROM lite, v5.5. I have disabled notification of open wireless networks in the WiFi setting. The phone is on 3 and there is no connection manager (Which seems to be a common reason for the wifi turning on.)
As I have unlimited data on 3, I have disabled the option to only update/stream, etc. while connected to WiFi on as many apps as I can find.
The phone was originally on Orange, but as I'm now out of contract, it has been unlocked and move to 3. I don't see why this should have any influence on the WiFi though.
I've a feeling there's probably an app which keeps turning the WiFi on, but have no idea how I'd track that.
Anyone seen this behaviour before or knows how I can find out what keeps turning the WiFi?
