Hi all
Can anyone recommend a good wifi manager that will allow me to block certain wifi points but will also automatically connect to known networks??, ive tried wefi that worked for a while but the new update seems to have made it worse, if also tried wifi manager but it doesnt auto connect, ive also tried wifinder but that doesnt allow me to exclude certain wifi pionts.

Does anyone use a good one that they could recommend??

Thanks Pete

Thanks, but i said in the post that i had tried wifi manager and that didnt auto connect, just had a look at wifi analyzer and all that seems to do is analyze to see what channel the wifi network is on so you can use a less crowded one. not all what i was looking for.

Interesting, since my Desire auto-connects to known networks.

Try then these 3 apps:
WiFi Buddy BETA
Wi-Fi Ruler
Auto open Wi-Fi connection

A WiFi network only becomes known once you have manually connected to it so unless it is known, it won't sauto connect. It already auto connects to known networks so not sure what exactly you want

Thanks Usta, i will give them a try altough i think i tried wif ruler but forgot about that one in my first post.

Suroot - The problem is that sometimes my phone seems to connect open networks but they dont have internet access, at work we have bt internet and sometimes my phone will connect to the router which i have the wpa key for, but sometimes it connects to btopenzone but then i dont get internet access, so i wanted an app that i could exclude these hotspots from the list so that it doesnt try to connect to these when im close by them.

I have a feeling its because we use bt at home and I get free internet access to by hotspots, but the trouble is our work bt is a business contract so that's why I think it connects but doesn't give me access.

This isn't an ideal solution, but have you heard of tasker? Where you set specific tasks based on criteria? Its great. I use it for all sorts. It does cost however.

Anyway, one of the criteria is:
Wifi connected
You can specify a SSID for the network.

One of the tasks is:
Net>wifi Net

where you can set action: disconnect.

So reading that, assumption is... If connected to network named "BT internet work", disconnect wifi.
