WiFi not connecting

Got a new electronic firewall in my office.
IPhone and IPad connects to WiFi no problem.

Lg connects, my Desire searches, finds but cannot get the IP address.

Very frustrating.
Actually I have to do a manual find for the WiFi signal when normally the Desire informs me of an available network.

Any suggestions please?

1) Is the network a WiFi G standard (if it is N, then you can't use Desire for that).
2) It is possible that the Router Radio broadcast is disabled? In that case only the devices that had a previous connection can continue to connect automatically.
3) Try the manual input of the SSID, encryption, user name and password.
4) Use a good WiFi program like Wifi Manager.
