Help wifi not connecting

I just got the razr m and have been messing around with the settings. It connected great to my free work wifi but it is having trouble connecting to my home wifi. I finds my network with an excellent signal strength, then when I put in the password it goes into a cycle of connecting then saving and storing password and then disconnecting and starting over. And the whole time it is doing this my signal strength drops to poor. As soon as I tell it to forget the network the signal jumps back up to excellent, any help?
 
I recently had a similar issue at my in-laws.

After hours of playing around with different configurations I disabled Smart Actions completely. Wouldn't you know it....no more problems connecting to wifi at the inlaws.
 
I have no problem connecting, but it stills wants to tell me of available connects even though I have that option unchecked.
 
I fixed the problem by going into my router settings and changing the security type from wpa + wpa2 to just wpa and after that if connected up no problem
