I just noticed my wifi will no longer connect.. I changed the passkey to no avail. It says obtaining ip.. then unsuccessful.. any idea.. reset and battery pull tried already.. thanks
I was having the same troubles on my network at home. Then I realized I could connect to other routers in my building. So determined the problem was with my router. I upgraded the firmware, made sure it was on mixed signal, and the problem went away.
Are you having this trouble with all networks, or just one in particular?
whew.. i don't know what happened.. laptop was working, but then stopped.. just did hard reset on router and redid everything.. changed security to wpa also.. had it on wep and apparently its not that secure from what i was reading. not sure if wpa is any better or not though.. all is good on laptop and dinc

WPA is FAR more secure that WEP. WPA2 is the most secure and highly recommended.
WEP can be cracked with readily available software within minutes - yes minutes. In layperson's terms, WEP is equivalent to a locked screen door. It's trash - and will only keep out your neighbor who still uses AOL.
WPA and especially WPA2 with AES encryption is very hard to crack. Check your router and make sure you're using it. And while you at it, make sure your Windows accounts (including your Administrator account) all have passwords.
