Wifi out?

Wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I don't know when it started, it could have been yesterday, could have been a month ago. I rooted my VM SG2 about a month ago. The wifi worked fine before I rooted, but now it shows that I have a strong signal, but I am unable to use my wifi. I pretty much have an unlimited plan, so I never paid attention to it until now.

This past Saturday I downloaded Sygic and tried to get maps for it. Sygic kept saying that there is no wifi, but my phone was saying that it was connected with a strong signal. I looked and noticed for the first time that I don't have the wifi symbol in my icon bar. So I turned off the data plan to see what would happen. Wow, no wifi!

Has anyone had this problem? I rooted using the FL26 in the all things root forum. (SPH-D710VMUB) (D710.10 S.FL26)

There could be a problem with your router recognizing your phone. Go into the settings of your router and see if when your phone is connected to the Wi-Fi that the phone shows up on the client list.

If you go into the Wi-Fi settings on your phone, you will see a MAC address. Check to see if that's the same on the router.

What is there make and model of your router, assuming that is what you're attempting to connect to?
