Help Wifi problem

My new Galaxy 551 has a problem connecting to my home wifi network. It doesn't even say "connecting", it's always "disconnected" and "scanning". Sometimes the network I'm trying to connect to becomes "not in range" for a second or two, although signal strength is excellent. The network is secured and I'm able to connect to it with Galaxy 3 (which is almost identical phone, also with 2.2 Android).

The only network I've managed to connect to is a non-secured one.

What should I do? :(
 
My non-expert advice : i'd do a factory reset. If that doesn't still work, I'd ask for a replacement.
 
Thanks but I've already tried that and it didn't help. I'll try to connect to another secured Wifi and if that doesn't help I'll get it replaced.
