Help Wifi problems SGS3

Hi, I have tried searching online but cant find this specific problem.

My S3 was working fine but now when connected to wifi it will not download any data over it, it always continues to use mobile data and refuses to download over wifi.

I have tried rebooting the phone several times, i have even tried turning the mobile data off and it still would not download anything.

Using speedcheck it just held on finding closest server and then stopped and with mobile data off it just gave a network error.

Can anyone help?

Is this over your personal wifi? are you blocking specific ports and/or MAC addresses from your router? proxy/firewall settings?
Have you tried using various wifi networks? resetting your router?
The problem may not stem from your phone, but from the wifi configuration as well...
