Help WiFi problems?

I've been having trouble with my WiFi for about a week now. Basically after a period of not using the phone I'll try to use the WiFi, the phone says it is connected, but every time I try to use it I get a network/connection error. The only way to fix it is to reset my router.
Is this a common problem? Is there a fix?

How many of you are having Wi-Fi problems and DON'T have
a case ? I've been having problems ever since i picked
up the phone on Jul 21 ...today i got my case that i ordered
from case-mate ( Samsung Galaxy S2, Samsung Galaxy S II Tough hard case by Case-Mate) and now my WiFi is working
great ! i went through the areas in my house where it always
failed and now it works everywhere ! i can only think that
the case is insulating my hands(?)
I'm writing this post from an area that always failed before
