I am having problems using wifi on my MT .. it tries to obtain the ip address.. sometimes it is successful and sometimes not.. but even if it does connect, after a few seconds it disconnects and wont reconnect

I have disabled it and re-enabled it.. shut the phone off .. nothing has worked..
anyone have any ideas or tips for me to try?

Thanks

ya like the above poster said, turn ur router off and back on but for me to get it to work i also had to turn phone off untill router was fully booted. went through this hassel when power kept going out through storms and those steps worked everytime, good luck.

Alright I was thinking that i should do that, but I didn't want to cause it had worked for the first whole day we had just gotten it last week.
I will give it a try when I go home today, thanks.

I did try this, and it was not successful. I tried it a few times with no luck.
Any one else have another suggestion?

I finally solved the problem, I had to create a new SSID for my home network, and connect to that.
So if anyone else encounters this problem and restarting the router doesnt help give this a try

I often have problem with my wifi, what I do is: switch on airplane for about 30 seconds and switch it off. That usually gets wifi to connect.

That might actually be a problem with your router... If you have to cycle wifi on and off on your phone then it may still connect (like it does for me), but you should restart your router. I have had problems and it may seem like its the phone when ion reality its the router.

reboot ur phone if u have updated o ics cyanogenmod 9 5.2 thats what u have to do to get it fixed. follow the video post of minus5252
