wifi problems

hi i have a galaxy s2, with the latest operating system. when i'm at home, the wifi works perfectly fine and i can receive Facebook pop up notifications and emails notifications.

but once i get to work, i connect to the wifi and i can use the network, but my emails or facebook notification does not pop up, unless i refresh everytime.

can anyone suggest anything/

Hello ebrahim989, welcome to AF! I think you will get a better answer in your device forum, but I need to know if you have the T-Mobile, AT&T, or Intl version of the GS2. I will be happy to move this forum for you once I have that info.
