Help WIFI Reconnect Issue

My Wifi connection is fine while I am at home but if I leave to run an errand once I return the phone won't switch back from 3G to the Wifi. I usually have to powercycle my modem/router in order for the Wifi to come back up. Any ideas why this is happening?

I went through the exact same thing for a while, and tried Wifi Analyzer (free app) and found that my router was choosing the same channel as a neighbor. I think it was confusing things, so I set my router explicitly to a free channel and the problem went away.

Others have tried this advice without success, but others have found it worked for them, so no guarantees, but worth a shot.
