Help Wifi/Signal bars Grey

I realize what this means, but my signal bars and wifi bars are grey extremely often. I have to turn off the phone then back on. Whats the deal?

I think its ICS software issues or the sim card maybe?

are you able to reach the "net" when they are grey? an alternative to rebooting would be to just toggle airplane mode on and off.

No. No data at all.

Toggling Airplane Mode works, but quite annoying.

What would you classify as extremely often? Most people have the issue with the 3g or 4g signal dropping randomly. But haven't seen too many people with it happening on wifi. You may be having a hardware problem, or it may just be fixed in a software update.
