Hi All,
Any tips on settings for wifi?
I have a Droid Razr and bought the Rezound for the Mrs.
I constantly get 14-20mb down and 6 mb up at home and she is getting 1/2 that.
I also tried at my MIL house and though we are both slower there I still get about double speed of her HTC?
Any help would be appreciated.
Tim

Does this happen when both phones are very close to the router? If it's a little better, reseat the battery door, which has her wifi antenna in it. Also, make sure her phone's in "performance" mode under settings.

Phones right next to each other a couple rooms away from router

I didn't realize there was an option for performance?
Is it one of those performance vs Battery life type options?
I will change it tonight and run the tests again.
Thanks,
Tim

I have my Rezound set in economy mode to save on battery life but then set my network mode to LTE/CDMA. You can get more out of your wifi if you go to menu, settings, wireless and networks, wifi settings, menu, advanced and checkmark "Best wifi performance" although it states "may consume more power".

Didn't know about this feature, and just turned it on. In the 2 hours+ I've had it turned on (and using normal amount of wifi compared to prior to turning it on), it does appear to sap battery a bit faster than with the option turned off.

My question is: For the cost, what's the payback? What exactly does it give me?

Good question. Would also like to know.

I just recently stumbled across this setting and have had it on for two days but have yet to notice any improvement in connectivity or speed. I can find no mention of "Best Wi-Fi Performance" in the user guide. But I did find this Best wifi performance
