wifi still wont work.

Hey all,

I have been trying to fix my wifi on my Samsung galaxy i9100t. Now I have tried everything I can, I think. I have successfully rooted the phone and installed Supernexus 4.2.1 thinking that a new rom would fix my problem.
The wifi button is only half as bright as the bluetooth button in setting screen and will not activate, this is exactly what it was doing with original rom. I cant see any wifi networks nothing, Same as before. I will say it worked flawlessly for many months prior running the standard rom 4.0.3 then yesterday it just stopped working. I did not change anything as far as I know.
Please help what am I missing???

Thank you.

Yeah I have a few laptops and a couple of other phones in the house on the wifi network all working fine. Ive reset router changed, passwords, everything I can think of.

It seems to me that somehow the wifi hardware on the phone wont start up dont know if thats possible.

I now restored back to 4.0.3 with siayh 5.0.1 kernael and still no go.

:confused::confused::confused:

The only other thing I can suggest trying is a factory data reset. I was going to ask if you did a reset prior to flashing the new ROM, but if your restore didn't fix it, well . . . . A reset sometimes will fix a myriad of problems.

Also moved from the Android lounge in hopes of more exposure from folks familiar with your device.

good luck

Factory reset was the first thing I tried before I changed anything like kernels and that.

Is there anyway to test wifi hardware??

Maybe I should just reset it back to factory and send it in for warranty..

Thanks for everyone input.

I'd have to say that if the behavior was identical in both stock and custom firmware, it most definitely sounds like a hardware failure. If it's still under warranty, it should be repaired or replaced.
