Root WiFi stops working after a battery change

Hi all. I have a very annoying problem. I have a HTC Desire with the latest nightly of Cyanogen Mod.

Every time i change my battery, my wifi and 3G stops working. To fix it, i have to either flash a new nightly or reflash the existing one. But that only fixes it until i change my battery again.

in the wifi settings page it shows that i am connected to wifi, but if i try to use an app that requires internet it just says, no connection.

Im not sure if this is related or not but i installed an app called WiFi Manager the day before it started happening. I uninstalled it but the problem persisted. I installed another app called HeyTell around that time also, uninstalled that too but still the same.

I have seen this problem beeing addressed in other forums, and for other types of android phones (rooted and non-rooted) but no one has ever found an answer that i can see.

Can anyone help me? please?

Thank you.

Sprocket, I have moved your thread to the HTC Desire root subforum so that someone with the device can help you :)

well i stated in the post that it is happening to other android phones rooted and non-rooted, not just the rooted Desire. so this would actually fall under the general category. but no odds.
