Help Wifi streaming problems

I'm having problems streaming Pandora,Sirius App, youtube etc.. over wifi on my D3. Phone shows excellent signal on wifi but wont connect. Is any one else having the same issue. Ive had my phone for 3 weeks now and its been like this since day one.

Just curious, do they work find over 3G?

I've been having problems with connecting to my universities wifi. Anything with encryption on it makes the connection unstable.
