Wifi stuck on Obtaining Address

I installed wireless tether to test it out. Worked great. Now I am stuck on the aforementioned obtaining address. I've powered cycled plenty, removed battery, uninstalled wifi tether. Really don't want to a factory reset. Any ideas? Thanks

Mine was working perfectly until today ... now I've got the same problem. Installed a few updates of installed programs to my phone. Am wondering if one of them may be causing the issue?

What apps and updates did you do today? I installed wifi tether and Vilingo

Alright. I just uninstalled Vilingo and wifi is working again. No restore for me!

Edit: I'm connected bu get network error. FML
Editx2: After a disconnect from wifi, I can't connect now. Bout ready to pick up an iPhone

I updated Smooth Calendar, LauncherPro, and ROM Manager. Also installed Multicon Widget.

Alright. Finally fixed. I went into my routers setting and deleted the phone from the recent devices. Turned on wifi and it reconnected right away.
