Root Wifi tether help please? iPods ect.

I'm looking to purchase the new iPod touch soon and ws wondering how would I go about the tethering my iPod touch 5th generation without virgin Mobile knowing. Plus can you tether of of Wifi instead of on your service from virgin Mobile. Thanks in advance. I

youre gonna have to use a wifi tether app (one might be with your rom) and you can share vm signal that way, it cant be used as a wifi "repeater" though,

I have that app but I was worried that vm will know that I'm using it. Will they?

why would you want to tether off of wifi...? theoretically if youre picking up the wifi on your phone, youd have it available on your ipod.

i havent ran into an issue using tethering and vm knowing, they dont even know im not using my optimus anymore...
