wifi tether question?

I am going to root my sprint hero with kitchen. What I want to accomplish is wifi tethering. I went here Downloads - android-wifi-tether - Project Hosting on Google Code But I dont understand how to install it? What am I missing? I see its APK file. But after rooting what are the steps for installing it? I know I must root first thats not a problem I understand how to. I just like to have everything figured out ahead of time.

I thought you could download wifi tether through the market. But it looks like they removed all the wifi tether apps from the market. The only reason I have not rooted yet is because my only reason (right now) for wanting to root. Is for the wifi tether.

Drop the apk on your sd card, then browse to it on your phone via a file browser, such as Astro or Estrongs, and click on the file. It will ask you if you want to install. Proceed and enjoy.
