Root wifi tether with the xoom?

Does anyone know if you are able too tether with a rooted xoom?

I just got rid of my droid 2 for the xoom and on the droid 2 I used to tether all the time.

Also if I do root it and it goes in for the lte upgrade will they be able to tell that I rooted it?

I tried wireless tether just to see if it would work. It starts but throws all kinds of dependency errors for me. You shouldn't need it as hotspots are directly supported in Gingerbread. Just go to Settings->Wireless & networks->Tethering & portable hotspot. You can set up wireless or usb tethering there.

how much are you allowed to tether off of these plans?

You can use it all for tethering if you like. VZW has 1,3, & 10GB plans I think.

Nope, you can tether without worry on the Xoom, it just counts against your data allowance.
