I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 on Gingerbread 2.3.5 and 02 is my operator in the UK.
I can't use Wifi Tethering, it would seem that 02 has locked it down to a SSID of AndroidAP and an unknown or blank WPA2 key.
I have read that you can fix this by rooting the phone and editing the settingsdb file, but this is not an option for me as the phone belongs to my employer and a few colleagues at work have got into trouble for voiding the warranty and costing the company
