Root Wifi Tethering wont Connect to my PS3???

Well guys, the only reason I went with all that trouble to root my phone is to be able to tether my phone. Well Once I did it I was able to Connect to my laptop,I touch but the only thing that I really want to connect to was my PS3... I cant find my WIFI when I scan for networks.... GUYS ANY HELP HERE??????

go to settings. Device profile. And change it to optimus s. If that doesnt work. Than change the setup to softAP.

Does tethering use all data from your 4g plan? Metro says multimedia is the only thing that takes away from data, sooooo does that still apply when tethering.

Talking about the old plans, since the new ones now subtract all data regardless.

I have no clue.. I have the Unlimited Data Plan So I don't think it should make a difference.... Unless they have limited data hidden somehow.

tethering to the ps3 uses way less data than streaming a movie the most you would use if playing online is like 10MB for 1 hour(with MW3 that i play and tested)

So you are saying you have successfully connected your Tethering WIFI to your PS3?? What method did you use? Same as suggested below?

If the first way doesn't work... Can you please tell me how to setup to softAP? I don't understand that... Thanks Guys

Yeah cause that wifi tether Actually creates an access point not just an adhoc connection. And for softap, its just a setting in the app.
