Wifi Tethering?

Has anyone been able to figure out how to do wifi tethering on the Captivate (preferably free)

You will need to be rooted (also on the site) . When I tried to install the .apk an AT&T msg popped up saying i couldnt install non market apps . Let me know if you somehow get past that issue.

you need to modify it so you can sideload apps. Look at the sticky at the top of the forum.

I tried this out and I get errors when I start it up.

Error log shows the following;
Activating wifi interface - failed
starting access-point - failed

Any ideas?

I downloaded pda net by turning airplane mode on and then turning wifi back on. Installed it on my pc and was good to go.

Only usb not wifi... sorry just re-read your post.
