Help WiFi Texting

I have had this phone activated for about a month now and I love it. The only issue I have is I don't get any reception at work but can access my works wifi to use for web based stuff. Is there any apps I could use to do wifi texting while at work that doesnt require using a different number like the heywire app?

This is obviously no a perfect one-size-fits-all solution, but it may be a reasonable workaround for some.

For incoming texts, get a Google Voice number and have all texts forwarded to an email address (while you are outside cell range).

Simply send your outgoing texts by email, to one of the addresses given at
List of SMS gateways - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia or The Complete List Of Text Messaging Email Addresses | EmailTextMessages.com. This obviously only works if you know (or can find out) which carriers your contacts use. At least for family and close friends and colleagues, this should not be an unsurmountable task.

I actually use email-to-text a lot, as it is faster and easier to type on a real keyboard.

I use that email feature with VM to email links to my phone that show up as a text. quicker then typing it out ;)
