Help wifi turning itself off automatically

Not sure if this is actually a problem or not but I recently bought my wife an Ace 2.

On atleast on a couple of occasions, we have noticed that the wifi has been disabled from the settings menu without anyone touching it.

The latest example was this morning when I looked at the phone and it was running on the data connection so when I went into the settings so that wifi wasnt enabled. However, it was definitely enabled and working last night.

The room where the phone is kept overnight does get a very poor wifi signal but would the Ace 2 shit off wifi itself to conserve battery if it fails to lock onto a signal? certainly not seen it with any other phone.

Android will automatically choose to leave the Wifi signal if it is poor connection. If you want this disabled go into Settings > Wireless & Networks > Wifi > 3 Vertical Dots in bottom right > Uncheck the avoid poor connections and make sure that "Keep Wifi on during Sleep" is on Always.

Hope this helps!

Ok many thanks, so I guess the wifi will then not reconnect unless enabled manually in settings?

The default in Wifi is that it will automatically reconnect to a saved Wifi connection once that connection comes within range :)

Ok, seems I have a different problem then.

It appears that my wifi connection gets disabled, ie if you go into settings -> wifi, the checkbox for wifi is unticked and I have to manually enable it again.

So what I am saying is that it cannot connect to the saved wifi as effectively wifi is not even enabled on the phone and I have re enable it again.
