Shouldn't the screen be using more of the battery? Can anyone else check theirs and report back?

Thanks!

I have been busy this afternoon installing about 420 apps on my TF700T. The installation was mostly of apps that were backed up on a microSD card that was in my TF101. The screen has been at full brightness, (IPS, not IPS+) without sleeping. I managed to burn through the battery in the TF700T, from 100% to 3%, in just 3 hours and 13 minutes! Here is where the power went: 44% screen, 34% wifi, 13% operating system.

I can't wait for that keyboard dock to get here.

i'm seeing same thing on mine. Not doing anything else on tablet at the time and when i check battery usage Wifi is at 86%. And anytime i check it, wifi always 80%+. Seems a little odd to me that it would use that much and screen is only at 4%. Any one else experiencing this or have any suggestions?

if you're connected to wifi, and for most of the time, your screen is off, it's not uncommon for wifi to show has the highest percentage.

No need for concern if that high percentage represents very little overall battery drain.

The title of this thread is misleading: wifi is not using 75% of the battery. It's using 75% of all components requiring battery use.

As for the OP's question: the wifi percentage only indicates what fraction of total usage was used by wifi. The total battery usage could only be 3%, but the wifi percentage could read up to 100%. That would simply indicate that wifi was the sole component of the tablet using power, and it drained the battery 3%. Clearly, this would not indicate a problem.

In other words, you can't compare the 100% to the 3%. They measure different things.
