Help Wifi weak connection

I bought the Y300 ascend phone last week and I`m having a problem of getting low/weak WIFI signals in other places than home where I do not have any control over the routers. Is there any way I can enhance the connection by somehow configuring the device? Or is it that I`ll have to live with it?

You have to get near the routers. That's difficult in a place where you don't know the location of the router.

Test it at home. See if you can get at least 30-50 feet of range. If you can't, your wifi antenna may not be connected. (You'll have to being it to a repair shop to get that fixed.) That would reduce the sensitivity all over.

Thank you for you reply Rukbat, I`m getting signals around that range but I think the problem is more from 50>, For example At my work, the router is at ground floor, I`m in the second floor and I`m about 45-50 feet far from router location and almost no obstacles between the router[mostly opened space] and the phone is with a weak signal [2 lines] and getting disconnected several times during the day due to weak signals .
