Wifi Zone - The Cloud - auto log in

athegn

Android Expert
I have an O2 contract. O2 have now ceased using "Wifi Zone - The Cloud"

I have now registered my own email with The Cloud and can connect. However now I have to manually login to "Wifi Zone - The Cloud" each time I want to use it whereas when O2 had it I am sure I was automatically logged in when my Desire found a "Wifi Zone - The Cloud" hotspot; typically in Wetherspoon pubs that have free wifi under "Wifi Zone - The Cloud".

Can I set up my Desire so that it automatically logs into "Wifi Zone - The Cloud" when it detects one?

its actually the cloud that should remember your details.
o2 remembered it as it stores info on your mobile number and updates the cloud with it.
it no longer works in that way so now its handling it via cookies

Thank you for the reply.

I wonder how I can get The Cloud to remember my settings; maybe Wetherspoon's marketing always want me to read their bumf before I can use the free wifi?

The Auto Sign on with WiFi Zone - The Cloud for O2 customers was mac address based. There isn't the business agreement in place any longer so you'll either need to read the bits and tick the boxes, or pay a subscription to The Cloud.

Sorry

About to renew my contract. Not sure which phone to get but would like a contract that has auto login for both The Cloud and BT OPenzone; the most common public wifi I come across.

Any one with any ideas?

If you get Unlimited Broadband with sky you get free Access as sky brought the cloud. O2 are supposed to be launching a wifi service of their own now.

Sky broadband is a problem for me.

Dodgy BT street wiring means that only VM cable is my option for faster broadband.
