I cannot get this phone to connect to my Wi Fi, I have other products that hook up with no problem, this used to but now it finds the network goes back and for saying obtaining Ip address saying its secrured then the same thing even after many times of rentering my secrutiy info. Need help from any who have had this problem ATT no help and nothing from Samsung.

First thing I'd try is to got to menu>settings>wireless&networks>wifi settings and select the current network and forget it. Then rescan and re-enter your pass phrase. One little quirk I've noticed is that some keyboards treat the password input as a text box and insist on capitalizing the first character. Since passwords are case sensitive, it could cause a fail.

Admitted noob but i have same prob n tried forget n reentrering access number, no luck. tried allshare, it redirects me to wifi settings, no luck. I have a samsung cappy that was running froyo and rooted. Plugged up to my computer for the gingerbread update and phone got stuck constantly rebooting. I held up, down and power to do a hard reset (factory wipe) and phone rebooted. Then saw version running was 2.3.5 and figured great, but now i cant get wifi. Phone says 'obtaining IP address...' forever but never connects to home network. Never had this problem with 4 other android phones running eclair or froyo, just entered router access number and was good to go. I need wifi!!!!! Please help.

Turned off phone, unplugged power from router, waited 20 secs. plugged in router, turned on phone, wifi connected n range is excellent.
