Root Wiimote Controller

Once there are ROMS available for a rooted Inc, and it is possible to remove the Sense UI, do you think the Wiimote Controller app (which won't work on phones with Sense) will work?

I'm also very interested in knowing this it doesn't seem like it should be an issue for our phones to do.

As long as you switch to a custom rom with full 2.1 bluetooth you will be all set....problem is a rom specifically for the incredible hardware doesnt exist yet.

Now that there are custom ROMs available, could anyone without Sense give this app a try to see of it works?

I'm still too scared to try to root yet (and I don't want to have to buy a PNY card) so I'll just wait till unrevoked gets the painless method done.

Ok I just ran beta .3 On mine and I could not get it to work. There is a problem with the Bluetooth, HTC will not allow the Bluetooth to connect and use the settings, I think that they will fix it in a update but as of right now, No it does not work.

Any update about this? The Stock Froyo with SenseUI rom is out,as well as updated radios, and full root... can we replace/modify the bluetooth in this to use the wiimote?

I really like sense, and HTC's new widgets in 2.2 are what i've been looking for since I got my 1st android phone. Not to mention an OFFICIAL Camera LED Flashlight app.

That being said, would it break/ruin anything if I were to say extract the bluetooth apk from CM8 and push it to my phone after backing up the original APK?

I am thinking along the same lines. It has got to be possible to modify the existing blue tooth to allow the correct protocol. I wouldn't even know where to begin so if any body else figures this out I would be eternally grateful. :)

Yes it does :) but it doesn't have the camcorder. For me this is something that I can live without for the time being.

Also the camera is limited in resolution. I'm not sure what it is but there are no settings to change it and it's FAR from 8 mp.

I don't have a wiimote to try but I did manage to get my i.Tech bluetooth laser virtual keyboard to work with Inc Froyo 2.2 leak for a few minutes. Thing is the KeyPro program really isn't that great (didn't work great on the G1 either) so it's hard to tell but it's definitely more functional than it was with 2.1 stock.

I believe it has a max resolution of 3mp doesn't it?
