So how to I get this on my phone? Sorry, I'm pretty bad when it comes to this type of stuff. If someone could explain it to me or point me to a link that would be much appreciated.

Just use your cell phone, log onto Phandroid and come to this thread and click on the download and you can just download it straight to the phone

it worked (sorta) on my way home. no longer getting the notification. i wanted to try the camera mode, but it kept switching to the regular map mode. its pretty cool.

so i dl the zip file to my pc (cuz i had issue with using phone to go to link)
and then mount to pc and move file to sd card. then click on file and says directory empty. what else do i do?

get astro from the market and access it from there.

Ya I have astro thats what i used.when I go to sd card and click on that file it says directory empty.also my pc wont boot up now possibly a virus from that file.

It wasn't from that file because I downloaded it and put it on my phone using my laptop and it's fine. You won't get a virus from opening a .rar file and dragging a .apk out of it and to your phone.
