Help Wildfire frends stream

Hi guys bare with me on this one Im new to all this, I have an HTC Wildfire on which I have set up Facebook, so far so good I get updates on Friends Stream but now I seem to have a lot of posts in Friends Stream that I no longer need, is there anyway I can delete the ones I no longer want. Thanks..

Just set it up to refresh more often?
Will then get rid of the older posts and renew it with newer ones?

Not sure if it would work just an idea
