Help Wildfire mobile internet not working (orange)

lukeruss

Lurker
Hi,

I just purchased a new HTC wildfire and i can't get the mobile internet to work.

I am on orange, the phone is a vodafone phone as it displays the vodafone logo on start up, but the phone is unlocked as my orange sim card works in it.

Anyone who could help me get my internet working, it would be much appreciated.

Many Thanks :confused:

they should send you your settings after 30 mins of inserting the sim card.
it probably has Vodafone settings still on.

Android APN and Data Settings for Orange UK

Go to settings -> wireless controls
Go to Mobile Networks -> Access Point Names
Make sure you select and delete each APN on the list.
Click Menu and select New APN
Use the following settings:
Name = Orange Internet
APN = orangeinternet (case sensitive)
MCC:234
MNC:33
APN Type: default
Ignore everything else and leave it as <Not set>
Then press menu and save and then turn off the phone and restart and you are done!

I think i have the same problem. in the settings i have no option to choose GPRS or Edge, only GSM and WCDMA which don't work with pelephone intenet.

with the apn's you need internet to be default, shown by green dot
and my phone is branded and locked to telstra and i have gsm and wdcma
