Help Wildfire S - Flash player problem

MrMac78

Lurker
Hi guys,
new to the forums and I am after some advice.
Yesterday I got the Wildfire S, and so far am so happy with it - i'm selling my iPhone 4 on. As i've lost total interest and trust in Apple.
I did have the Sensation, but returned it after a shocking battery life... and got the Wildfire S in it's place.
On the Sensation with Flash Player installed, videos worked fine in the Browser (for example: BBC iPlayer & YouTube) but on the Wildfire S, it's installed...but when I go to watch a flash video, it says I need to install a flash player. Even though I have already?
Any ideas?!
Thanks in advance,
Mike.

The Wildfire S only has Flash Lite. Apparently it doesn't have the hardware to cope with full blown Flash. Although you can install the full blown Flash if you can find the apk download off the net. You still won't be able to use BBC iPlayer or Google Earth etc, but some of the flash videos might then work.

I also bought the Wildfire S a couple of months ago in ignorance of its inability to play Flash Video such as iPlayer etc.
However, I've noticed that in the last week or so both BBC iPlayer and Adobe Flash Player have become available to download onto the Wildfire S from the Android Market. Unfortunately, despite installing both Apps, iPlayer videos still don't work on the Wildfire.
I've had the same problem with ITVPlayer and Adobe AIM (which ITVPlayer requires).
Perhaps, though, there are moves afoot to get flash videos to work on the Wildfire, now that Flash Player is downloadable.

i am very happy with the wildfire s. just real annoyed that i can't get bbc iplayer. this was 1 of the reasons y i got thr fone, until they took off flash player! not happy
