Will Droid Ever Really Get Froyo?

2.2 and Froyo is not that big a deal really if the phone is still running at 600 and don't see them clocking it up to 900-1000. Much to do about nothing...

Well, here's my prediction, and I mean no offense whatsoever:

1. The D1 will get the official Froyo update in early-to-mid August.
2. It will include the version of Blur (or whatever you want to call it) seen on the D2 and DX.
3. It will encrypt the bootloader.
4. Android 3.0 (Gingerbread) will not be made available for the D1.

Can you encrypt a bootloader from an OTA? I'm not saying you're wrong...I'm just curious.

I just got a refurb to come in the mail by Monday and while talking to the rep on the phone, I asked about Froyo (why not?). She said, again keep in mind this is just a tech support rep and I don't honestly trust anything they say about this kind of stuff, that 2.2 is "being tested right now. It should be out by the very end of July". The July part made me laugh, but who knows. I don't really care....
